Kettering Health Network Emergency Center in Franklin to Host Birthday Bash

Story by Elizabeth Long

The Kettering Health Network Emergency Center in Franklin is celebrating its one-year anniversary by hosting a birthday bash for the public on Sunday, April 17 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The Emergency Center is located at 100 Kettering Way in Franklin, off I-75 at the Springboro/Franklin exit on State Route 73, next to the southbound 75 entrance ramp.

Disney Junior Channel’s Doc McStuffins is the featured guest. The character is a 7-year-old girl who can “fix” toys, with a little help from her stuffed animal friends.

A stuffed animal clinic will be open during the event. Kids can bring a sick or injured stuffed toy to the clinic to be examined by a doctor.

A balloon artist, face painting and other entertainment will be provided.

The public can enjoy a cookout. Hotdogs and birthday cake will be served free of charge.

The birthday bash also features a health fair that includes free health screenings, and health and weight loss information. Visitors can participate in a raffle and receive prizes.

The event is free to the public. For more information or to register, visit ketteringhealth.org/ emergency/franklin.
