On Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, business majors from the fields of marketing, accounting, and finance from Washington Adventist University (WAU) joined the 2nd annual DC Direct Innovation Challenge. Sponsored by the United States Postal Service and in partnership with Capital One, the event saw participation from regional universities including Bowie State, Georgetown, and the University of Maryland.

Washington Adventist University theology and religion department students and staff take a retreat

Last weekend, some 20 religion and theology students and staff from Washington Adventist University and Potomac Conference’s Sligo church—both located in Takoma Park, Md.— gathered for a spiritual retreat in Emmitsburg, Md.

More than 120 students from Atholton Adventist, Highland View, Pine Forge, Spencerville Adventist and Takoma academies represented 39 countries in Washington Adventist University's recent CAPITALMUN Conference, based on the United Nations General Assembly and/or the United Nations Security Council. 

Columbia Union Adventist delegates to the THIMUN Conference at The Hague

Seventeen students from Columbia Union Conference’s Highland View Academy, Pine Forge Academy, Spencerville Adventist Academy (SAA) and Takoma Academy recently participated at The Hague International Model United Nations (THIMUN) Conference in the Netherlands.
