Kettering Adventist HealthCare Continues to Fight Opioid Crisis

Story by Kettering Adventist HealthCare Staff

A team of clinicians, engineers, and health system specialists from Verily has teamed up with Dayton-area health organizations, including Kettering Adventist HealthCare (Ohio), to fight the opioid crisis. Verily is Alphabet Inc.’s research organization devoted to the study of life sciences. Verily believes that technology is an important part in helping people with addiction, but they also know the importance of health care providers and the environment they foster during the treatment and recovery process.

They have partnered with Kettering to create a high-tech rehabilitation center named OneFifteen. In addition to its leadership role in the organization, Kettering will provide input on protocols and standards of care.

OneFifteen is the first location of its kind, and if the project succeeds more locations could be implemented nationwide. Verily and the community partners know that this project is no small undertaking and requires a deep commitment of health and healing.
