“Just think about it, we don’t even want to be us some days, but God chose to become one of us!” said Tara VinCross, pastor of Philadelphia’s Chestnut Hill church. VinCross presented this morning’s devotional titled “Grace in the Manger.”

Afterward she reflected on the opportunity: “It was a great experience and I got to meet a lot of great people,” she said. “It says our church values young adults and women.”

VinCross explained that her goal was to illustrate God incarnate: “I believe God is calling us to be His hands and feet in the world and to allow His spirit to be in us,” she noted. “Oftentimes we talk about words and messages and sending out programs, but the biggest representation is what God wants to do through us as we come in contact with the world.”

Ray Hartwell, president of the Pennsylvania Conference, where VinCross pastors was excited to see her on the program: “We’re just so proud of Tara, thankful for her message, inspired by what she shared with us and encouraged to be the hands and feet of Jesus right here in the United States,” he said.
