Family Finds a Home During Hope for Humanity

Story by Tamyra Horst

Members of Bucks County, located in Warminster, planned an evangelistic series combined with a twist: meetings paired with a fall festival. October Fest happened every evening for the first week of the series. More than 200 people attended opening night, listening to the Hope for Humanity message presented by Pastor Zabdiel Bridago and then enjoying food and booths featuring games, activities, animals, the local fire department and more. Each night, the church gave away items ranging from gift cards to diapers, groceries and other essentials.

Vanessa and Nelson Gonzalez dreamt of building a family rooted in strong values. When they saw the Bucks County church’s Facebook ad promoting its October Fest meetings, they decided to attend and bring their daughters, Nessa and Alisa.

The Gonzalez family soon felt at home. It didn’t take them long to get involved in church activities outside of the meetings. Friendships began and the Bible was coming alive during their study times. By the end of the meetings, Bridago baptized all four.

The Gonzalez family are four of the more than 1,000 guests who attended opening nights at the 111 Hope for Humanity events across the conference. Throughout Pennsylvania, God moved on the hearts of families and individuals through these meetings. More than 550 people joined a conference church in 2025—and the number continues to grow.
