Pennsylvania Adventurer Bible Experience Team Headed to Europe

Story by Tamyra Horst

The Soldiers of Christ Adventurer Bible Experience (ABE) team is going where no other North American Division (NAD) ABE or even Pathfinder Bible Experience (PBE) team has gone before. This group of 6- to 9-year-olds are headed to Katowice, Poland, April 11 for the Trans-European Division (TED) ABE finals, joining kids from across Europe and beyond. Composed of Adventurers from Pennsylvania Conference’s Berwick, Bethlehem and Philadelphia Hispanic churches, they recently earned first place at the British Union-level.

"The kids were absolutely thrilled to qualify—they were jumping with excitement after nailing the questions and finishing strong," shares Lucy Corbin, Berwick team leader. "The whole experience has been a ton of fun for them, full of laughs, teamwork and digging deep into God's Word. Parents were surprised our youngest kids were able to memorize entire chapters of the Bible, and the oldest ones had almost all [of it] memorized too."

Both Pathfinders and Adventurers have been memorizing chapters from the book of Isaiah for their respective Bible experiences—chapters 6–19 for ABE and chapters 1–33 for PBE. Older siblings have been helping coach and encourage their younger brothers and sisters.

Please keep these Adventurers and their families in your prayers as they travel to Poland and attend the TED ABE. The NAD-level PBE event will take place the following week, April 17–18, in Hawthorne, Fla.
