Ellen G. White Estate Develops Ellen White Pathfinder Honor, Game

The Ellen G. White Estate has developed a new game and Pathfinder Honor called Pitcairn to help young people learn more about White’s life.

Gods_Messenger honorCreators also developed the honor into an app for Google play and iTunes, giving Pathfinders an alternative way to earn the honor. Pitcairn highlights Ellen G. White and her writings by testing the player’s knowledge through a series of questions presented in an allotted timeframe. Players must gain at least 200 points in seven minutes to earn their honor. The honor, known as God’s Messenger Honor, falls under the spiritual honor category and is only a year old. It was presented at the 2014 Pathfinder Camporee in Oshkosh, Wis.

Pam Scheib, Columbia Union-wide Pathfinder Coordinator, says, “This is a great learning tool for not only Pathfinders, but for anyone who wants to learn more about Mrs. White.” According to the White Estate, Pitcairn is not the only game that they hope to create. As this game is only a level one, they hope to develop higher levels. Visit http://honor.ellenwhite.org to learn more about the honor.
