Washington Adventist University will host its third Visionaries Gala September 20 in support of the university’s “Vision 2020, Growing With Excellence” plan. The gala is an annual event that supports “Vision 2020” to encourage and expand interaction between the university and community.

The Comptroller of Maryland recently recognized Washington Adventist University (WAU) business students for their creative solutions to helping local small businesses thrive. The students recently earned third place in the national Enactus Competition, which awards teams with the most creative solutions to resolving community issues.

In preparation for the 60th General Conference Session in San Antonio that will begin July 1, please join leaders from Sligo Church, Washington Adventist University and the Columbia Union Conference for a special day of prayer, study and discussion on women, ordination and unity.

Washington Adventist University (WAU) was recognized and congratulated by President of the United States Barack Obama for “the extraordinary and exemplary community service contributions of its students, faculty and staff in meeting critical community and national needs.”  The university has been awarded a place on the President’s 2014 Higher Education Community Service Honor Roll.<
