I greatly appreciate the words of Psalm 46:1 that promise that our God is a very present help in times of trouble. We think in terms of being present or absent. Here we are reminded that God is very present in those times when we have no other hope.
Whenever I feel like I’m losing control, I need to remember His promise: “Let not your heart be troubled.” Do I always remember? No. But He who has promised will indeed never leave me nor forsake me.
