Academy Honored as ‘Large Group of the Year’
Story by Addriene Rhodes
Pine Forge Academy (PFA) has once again distinguished itself on the national stage, recently earning the prestigious “Large Group of the Year” honor at the Kingdom Image Awards (KIA). This remarkable achievement celebrates not only the academy’s longstanding musical and cultural legacy but also the dedication, discipline and artistry of its talented students.
The KIA, a highly respected national platform, exists to recognize performing artists, entrepreneurs and influencers across diverse creative disciplines. KIA’s mission centers on promoting unity, breaking down barriers created by tradition and elevating artistic expression in all its forms. Through its awards, forums and collaborative programs, KIA fosters growth, connection and excellence within the arts community.
This year’s recognition highlights PFA’s commitment to excellence in performing arts. Known nationally for its rich choral history and powerful spiritual artistry, the academy continues to inspire audiences with performances rooted in tradition, creativity and faith. Receiving “Large Group of the Year” underscores the ensemble’s impact, not just as musicians, but as ambassadors of culture, unity and positive change.
Academy leadership extends a special acknowledgment to choir Director Jarrett Roseborough, who served as director and arranger of the winning selection, “STAND.” His vision, musical leadership and commitment to excellence were instrumental in shaping a performance that moved both the audience and judges, capturing the heart of what PFA represents.
KIA’s values mirror those held by PFA: nurturing young people’s gifts, encouraging artistic exploration and building bridges across communities. The annual KIA event brings artists together through elegant and inspiring gatherings, offering opportunities for networking, collaboration, personal development and celebration. In this environment of creativity and shared vision, PFA’s students shone brightly.
The academy’s musical ensembles—often recognized for their discipline, vocal excellence and moving performances—embody the KIA ideal of using the arts to uplift and unify. This award acknowledges not only their talent but the countless hours of rehearsals, mentorship, teamwork and spiritual grounding that shape their performances.
“Large Group of the Year” is more than a title—it is a testament to the legacy of PFA and the exceptional young artists who carry that legacy forward. Their presence on the KIA stage reflects excellence, resilience and a commitment to using the arts as a force for good, say school leaders.
As PFA celebrates this achievement, it continues its mission of developing leaders, scholars and artists who excel in character and craft. This honor reinforces the academy’s role as a beacon of artistic excellence and cultural inspiration on a national level.
