I rejoice every day because this story explains that God never treats me how I deserve.
It wasn’t until I surrendered all my broken pieces to Jesus, that God told me: “You are my workmanship, created in my image for good works, which I prepared for you beforehand that you should walk in them.”
When I read this verse, all my worries, stresses and anxieties are washed away. I feel like the words were written just for me. It reminds me that, even when I feel out of control, God’s got it.
Recently, local partnerships, including Kettering Health in Ohio, has allowed Gem City Market, located in Dayton, to open its doors to a community in need.
This verse has meant a lot to me through the years because I’ve always feared that people wouldn’t like me or accept me because I was not good enough. This lack of confidence kept me from trying a lot of things for fear of rejection or failure.
Most of the doors to our churches have had to close during the pandemic, but in closing our doors, the pandemic has caused a shift in our focus from being content to remain “behind the walls” in a service to going “beyond the walls” in giving service.
My parents live by these words daily, and I want to follow their example.

Earlier this year, the Health Ministries Department of the Ephesus church in Columbus, Ohio, began “Sabbath Walks in the Park.” Members meet every other week in the city’s parks to get some exercise, explore nature and bond with each other in a safe environment.
Representatives from Conewago Construction, Tilden Township, Blue Mountain Academy (BMA) and the Columbia Union Conference recently joined Pennsylvania Conference members and staff for the groundbreaking ceremony of the new conference office—the Mission and Evangelism Headquarters.
