Isaac Sosa wasn’t happy when his parents told him he would be going to Blue Mountain Academy (BMA) for his junior year of high school. “As a kid who had all the freedom in the world at home, when my parents told me that I was coming here, I was very upset,” he remembers. “I thought, I’m going to have all these rules and restrictions put on me, so why would I want to be in a place like that?”
Students from Shenandoah Valley Academy’s Worship Ministry class are learning more about how to worship God, resulting in a deeper relationship with Him.
“Our goal with Bootcamp is to better prepare our leaders to lead,” says event organizer Jacqueline Messenger, associate director for secondary education at the Columbia Union. “We know that being a principal is one of the most difficult jobs in our system and we want to support and grow our principals.”
The Dayton Foundation has awarded Kettering College $25,000 for their Ukrainian Student Humanitarian Support project to cover food expenses for the 34 Ukrainian students at Kettering College.
